Designer Looks for Less

Hello there! I hope you are all enjoying a fantastic weekend, as I have! So, I went back through some of my posts and noticed in previous blogs that I posted couture gowns and merchandise that can sometimes be off the charts in regards to price. Thus, I decided to create a post that touches on fashion on the affordable side.

In regards to color palette, we know pink is hot right now. I know you didn't miss that Jessica Biel wore this hue on her wedding day in Italy when she wed Justin Timberlake. Ahhh, fashion set by celebrities. Like it or not, it sets the pace what for what is considered "hot right now", and also what is made available in the market place. With pink in mind, we are going for a feminine, sexy, chic, and most importantly, affordable ensemble, yet one that looks high end and expensive. The color palettes will be pinks and neutrals for a cozy, but girlie, undoubtedly sexy feeling. Next, we will focus on blue hues, white and taupe, for a nautical, more dressed up look. All of this, of course, at an affordable price, including where to shop to achieve the look.

Think girly and soft, feminine and chic, with a focus on pink, taupe, and stripes.

Below, check out more haute looks featuring this upscale color combo:

Lauren Jones Babette Sandal, available at www.belk.com and www.amazon.com/fashion
The aforementioned pink and taupe striped sweater dress is only $19 and available at Old Navy. Comparable, yet even more fun and wearable, at only $19, it beats the Ralph Lauren Price of $81 (which is a men's shirt, but would look great on a woman, for an over-sized shirt/boyfriend look, paired with skinny jeans or tight leggings).

Here, we will focus on blue hues, white and taupe, for a nautical, more dressed up look. Stripes are not only always in style, but they are classic, easy to wear for many, and can be dressed up with a splash of sparkle, or dressed down, depending on where you are going and how you wear them. I simply LOVE this classy, nautical chic look. Check out some designer digs and how you can get the look for less:

Donna Karan Sequined Cashmere-Silk Top, Carbon $995, available at Bergdorf Goodman.
